Donation to Orphanage

After some of you have asked about taking gifts to the orphanage, we inquired with our agency about what would be the best thing to do. Since we have been blessed with more than enough clothes for all SIX of our kids, we plan to pack 3 of our 4 allowed suitcases full of clothes and shoes for the children at the orphanage. This will leave little room for us to pack additional soccer balls, toys or other gift items. Therefore, if you would like to donate something for our kids' orphanage, money would be the best. As we did while adopting Victor in Ukraine when we bought the reems of fabric for diapers, we will ask the Ethiopian orphanage director what is needed when arrive and then be able to support their economy by purchasing it there.

Thanks again to all of you who are showing your support through encouraging words, prayers and/or tangible gifts. We feel so blessed (and unworthy) to be a part of such an incredible God story!
Love,
Tim and Alicia

  1. Hi Alicia,

I am enjoying following your blog. I have loved watching God unfold his plan for your family and how he has provided a long the journey. Very inspirational. I have added you on my blog, "blogs I follow". A friend of mine is also adopting from Ethiopia and I think she would love to follow yours also. Good luck. Katie Shipley
